Post-prison T.I. has been a single man demolition machine, relentlessly annihilating guest appearances left and right without regard to women and children. However, tackling your own project is always a whole different beast than loaning out a quick 16. Tip’s own lone record, the promotional, “I’m Flexin’,” dropped to mixed reception a while back and was quickly washed away with the aforementioned burst of lethal mercenary work.
But now, on the heels of the new year, Clifford is starting fresh with his Fuck Da City Up mixtape. His rising momentum over the last couple months is looking to continue and build more steam and accordingly the title track leaked yesterday, featuring fellow ATLien, Young Jeezy. The song is definitely more along the lines of what fans expected from the duo’s collaboration (unlike “F.A.M.E.”), and, if it’s any indication of what’s to come, we can begin to expect great things again from the king.
I would blabber on, but I’m sure if you haven’t already stopped reading, you’re about to, so without further ado it’s time to Fuck Da City Up (if not the city, at least your stereos).
