Paying tribute to Chad Butler? I’m down for that any day of the week, twice on Saturdays. Understudies of The Pimp, Da Underdawgz, are releasing The First One Is For Pimp on July 12, coinciding with the legend’s Still Pimping dropping on the same day. The visual for their “Bring It Back” video features key components of Chad’s lifestyle including the candy coated whips and double Styrofoam cups. The only thing missing was Pimp C, himself. And while this is no shade thrown toward Da Underdawgz or Messiah, but an original verse from Sweet Jones is what initially drew me in. He didn’t disappoint either.
